January 16th 2018 Day 5

Études Sociales 9F ( Block 1 & 8)
Today in our first period we discussed and reviewed activity 4. We talked about how efficient some of the laws put in place over the years were in keeping the collective rights of the Anglophones and the Francophones in a minority setting.

In the second block we started looking into the Collective Rights of the Métis. Students read aloud in groups and completed some fill in the blanks. We will continue this tomorrow morning and then review and discuss it during out second block together tomorrow.

Here are some upcoming dates for the end of our unit. 
January 22nd: Activity 5 due
January 24th: Formative Evaluation Due
January 29th: Chapter 3/4 Test

PE 8EF ( Block 2 )
Today we were in the Fitness room. Tomorrow and Thursday we will continue with our dribbling practice before we move on to some basketball games.

Social Studies 7G ( Block 3 & 4)
Today in our first block students had time to work on their board game projects. It is great to see all the groups so engaged and focused!

During the second block students were asked in their groups to read a few pages aloud and take down the fill in the blanks. When they were finished and had this work verified by me, they were allowed to continue on the games.

DIY 8 ( Block 6 & 7) 
Today students kept working on their craft sale projects. Students were reminded to stay in their original budgets. If they noticed they were going over, they were advised to make some cuts. The Count Down is on till the Craft Sale and the Mock in class craft sale!! Only 9 Days and 2 classes left!

Craft Sale is on January 26th 2018 from 5-8pm
