Social Studies 7G ( Block 1 & 2)
- Today we started talking about the War of 1812: How it started, ended in a stalemate and what actually came out of it. We then discussed the importance of Tecumseh and his very large First Nations Army. We also discussed how this War launched an era of British Identity, not a Canadian Identity. We got a bit sidetrack and discussed how we don't really have one set Canadian identity or Culture as we are a very multicultural society and all those identities are represented in some way.
Études Sociales 9F (Block 3 & 5)
Students continued to work on their Immigration Magazine Project. It is great to see so many student come to class with folders of immigration stories from their past! I cannot wait to read these stories and get to know my students families a bit better!
Keep up the great work 9F!!
Project is due on March 1st 2018
