December 10th 2014 Day 5

7D- Today we discussed the effects that the British Colony had on its French counterpart. WE talked about the competition for the furs and the trading posts around the Hudson Bay.

8A- Students were given a few minutes to finish answering the questions on the Monument Men. After they were given a vocab sheet to start chapter 3. We will continue this worksheet together on Friday.

9F- Pop Quiz!! Discussing the Indian Act and its meaning. Students really got into this discussion. Most of them wish they could vote in order to have a voice that will get rid of the 100+year old law that is no longer applicable to our society in their hearts.

8F-Quarter 1 Assembly. Congrats to Kenda for winning the GRAND PRIZE!

8E-Quarter 1 Assembly took up the majority of the class. Instead of starting the questions on The Monuments Men, Students were given a vocabulary sheet for the start of Chapter 3 of the Renaissance. We will continue this sheet together on Monday.

7D- Students learn't about the British Explorers. They understand why the Anthony Henday is named as such, as well as who is the name sake for the City of Vancouver ( George Vancouver) .

7F- Today we review our chapter 2 test together. Students were then asked to read pages 61-63 and answer the questions in the workbook. We will discuss (maybe re-read together) these pages and questions on Friday.
