September 26th 2014 Day 6

  Today is current events day! Every day 6 we will be discussing various  current events and students will have until the next day 6 to hand in the worksheet.

Grade 7D & F - We discussed the Referendum in Scotland. Students learnt why Scotland was not an independent country by going back in history and looking at the relation between England and Scotland and the merge of those two countries into one United Kingdom, along with Wales and Northern Ireland. The students were very interested and we had good discussions. The worksheet is due on October 6th ( Day 6 )

Grade 8A & E - Today's weekly news was about the Crisis in Ukraine. We discussed the cause and what has been going on since February 2014. Students were given a worksheet to complete and it is due on October 6th ( Day 6).

8F- We discussed the Referendum in Scotland. 9F - We discussed the Referendum in Scotland. We also continued discussing of the monarchs and followed them all the way to our current monarchs and the Windsors Relate back to Canada and our government.  Students were given a worksheet to complete by Monday October 6th 2014 ( Day 6).
